The documentary and the biographical monograph "Chinghiz Aitmatov. Universal Man" was presented at the International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the writer. The co-author of the book was the official representative of the Russian Military Historical Society in the Kyrgyz Republic - Leonid Sumarokov.
The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) hosted the scientific and practical conference "Chinghiz Aitmatov – The Man-Universe". Official representatives of the Russian Military Historical Society in the Kyrgyz Republic Leonid Sumarokov, professors and teachers of the KRSU and Kyrgyz National University, academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, representatives of the Union of Writers of the Republic, employees of the Embassy of the Russian Federation and Rossotrudnichestvo, as well as members of the writer's family took part in the event.
Members of the scientific forum discussed the multi-faceted activities of Chinghiz Aitmatov as a writer, a humanist, a thinker, a public figure, a journalist, and a diplomat of the three states - the Soviet Union, Russia, and Kyrgyzstan.
Chinghiz Aitmatov is one of the most famous and widely read prose writers. He opened a new page of the contemporary literature’s history, raised the quality of modern literature to a new - higher level, and filled his books with special philosophical and artistic content.
Within the framework of the event, the monograph of the Doctor of history Olga Sumarokova and the Candidate of history Leonid Sumarokov "Chinghiz Aitmatov – The Man-Universe" was presented. The book is based on documentary materials. Some of them are published for the first time. According to the authors and participants of the conference, the publication, due to its practical importance, will raise interest both in scientific circles and within the public.
The Russian Military Historical Society (RMHS) takes an active part in the cultural life in countries – former members of the Soviet Union. For example, in 2018, in honor of the 75th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops by the Soviet soldiers during the Battle of Stalingrad, RHMS participated in various festivities in Bishkek, such as the photo exhibition "#MISTALINGRAD" and the presentation of the scientific and journalistic collection "The Stalingrad Diary of Kyrgyzstan".
In the book published under the editorship of Academician Vladimir Nifadiev, authors and scientists of the KRSU - Leonid and Olga Sumarokovs talk about the unknown exploits of descendants from the Soviet Kirghizia during the battle of Stalingrad. The facts cited once again prove that the courage and selflessness of Soviet people, their patriotism, and devotion to the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War were a mass phenomenon regardless of soldiers’ nationalities.
In November 2017, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was visited by the Scientific Director of the RMHS Mikhail Myagkov. He, the university’s authorities, and representatives of the scientific community discussed the prospects for cooperation between the organizations in matters of military history’s objective coverage in Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
